Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Stamp It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.This week we are challenging you to: Stencil It. I am a ‘collector’ of Tim Holtz stencils and used one of my favorites, the Pines stencil along with some Texture Crackle Paste to create a white on white card with a bit of kraft and black.
I always like to get a head start on my holiday cards, especially the ones for my friends who do not celebrate Christmas. I still like to send a card to them during the holiday season and I love neutrals, they are perfect for anyone. To create this card I cut a 5 x 3 3/4 panel of DIstress Watercolor Cardstock. I used the Pines stencil then added Distress Crackle Paste through the stencil and let it dry, I love the textured look of this and the cracks are an added bonus.
Once the crackle was dry, I added some splatter to the panel using a paintbrush and Black Soot distress paint and then dried it with a heat tool. I added some more splatter using the Crooked Broomstick Distress Mica Spray, which will help accentuate the kraft paper. I cut the Tim Holtz SIzzix Seal Switchlits and used that as the base to add my The Neighborhood die cut houses and some words from the Christmas Label Tape and the Idea-ology Sentiments Labels. I added this piece to the card panel with foam tape, and then added the panel to the card also with foam tape.
