prize ribbon distress: butterfly card

Cheiron butterfly
A quick and easy card today, and a fun way to make a patterned paper out of supplies you already have on hand. For this card I cut a panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5. I put a border of washi tape around the edges to mask it off, then I stamped the butterfly from the Tiny Things 2 set in a pattern using Distress Oxides in Prize Ribbon, Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry, Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough and Pumice Stone. I love the combination of these bright colors! Once the ink was dry, I carefully removed the tape to reveal the crisp white border.

To finish the card, I added a 3D Impresslits Butterfly, and a simple sentiment from the Idea-olgy Quotations Metallic Sticker Pack. I foam taped the panel to a white A2 size notecard. You can do this with any tiny stamp in your collection, I love the tiny butterflies paired with the simple white die cut.
