simon says stamp monday challenge: anything but a card

Hello there crafty friends and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us in the Add Some Texture Challenge last week and we hope you will join us this week as well! This week our challenge is to create Anything But A Card…it’s that easy, there are so many possibilities. 

I have created a set of ATCs this week. I always love making these and trying out different color combinations and playing with stamps and stencils. I cut 4 ATC size pieces and worked on them all at once. I cut some the stamped elements out where I had stamped and embossed the images in white on black cardstock. I added a small talk sticker to each card to finish them off.

I used Distress Inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Twisted Citron, and Rustic Wilderness watered down like watercolors. To add a bit of texture with Black Soot Distress Paint and a dry brush to create wispy marks. When those layers were dry I stamped over them with Kitsch Flamingo and Aged Mahogany DIstress Oxides, and a white Posca pen.  To finish my ATCs I added a stamped and embossed leaf or front to each one and a sticker from the Idea-olody Small Talk stickers. These ATCs are a fun way to experiment with color combos, marks and textures!
