Happy Monday and welcome to another SImon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for playing along with us last week in our Resist It Challenge…and we hope you will join us again this week. This week our challenge is Add Some Texture and there are so many great ways to do this. One of my favorite ways to add texture to a project is adding Distress Texture Paste thought a stencil and that is exactly what I have done here. I have combined some of my favorite colors and textures to create the background for my card.
To create the panel, I cut a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and inked it up with Distress Inks and Oxides in Speckled Egg, Broken China and Rusty Hinge. When the panel was dry, I inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I stamped some of the text from the Faded Type stamps onto my panel using Vintage Photo Distress Archival Ink. To create texture, I added Distress Texture Paste through the Dot Fade Stencil.
While the paste was drying, I cut 3 of the Perspective Butterfly dies and layered them together using Distress Collage Medium. When my card panel was dry, I adhered the Perspective Butterfly and added a sentiment from the Life Quotes stamp set. I finished my card with a few clear droplets.
The lovely folks at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take our your crafty supplies, make something following this week's prompt and add your project to the InLInkz at the bottom of the post on the SImon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog 🙂 All winners are chosen randomly, so anyone can be a winner!!!
