simon says stamp monday challenge: love/hearts

Hello crafty friends! It's time for another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge…this week our theme is Love/Hearts and the Design Team is using products from Carabelle Studio. I have created a fun mixed media tag for you today using the Carabelle Studio Pearl stamp as my focal image. I stamped and colored Pearl with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, using them as watercolors, and cut it out leaving a small border. 

To create the background of my tag, I added bits of Botanical Collage Paper and then covered the tag with a thin coat of gesso. I applied Distress Paint in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple then while it was still wet, used a damp baby wipe to remove the paint through the Dotted Stencil, leaving some fun round texture. I then dried the background with a heat tool. I stamped some marks with the Mini Media Marks stamps. 

I built up a few layers on the tag using DIna Wakley Media Just Words Collage Paper and some Ephemera attached with a tiny attacher. I added tons of hearts using the Falling Hearts die and finished my tag with a Small Talk Sentiment Sticker.
