Continuing along with my goal to 'Get Cracking on Christmas' all year long, by creating my Christmas cards with a few crafty friends throughout the year! If you want to see how it all started, go to my original post here.
I'm happy to be able to share a Christmas card this month along with my friend Jenn. Be sure to visit her blog to check out the fabulous cards she has made. If you are in the mood to make some Christmas cards along with us, be sure to post them on Instagram and use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas :)
Today I am sharing a card with the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Nordic Winter die. I could not get wait to get my hands on this one. I know it will be great to make some super quick and easy cards with, but my card today will be a Christmas card for someone really special. To make this card, I cut the die out of woodgrain paper then colored it with Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. Now I am ready to cut an inlay all those tiny pieces…
I added double sided tape to the back of the entire panel, then cut the die again in red, yellow, blue, green, beige and white (yep, I even inlaid each and every bit of snow!) It take a lot of work, but for me was super relaxing. Now I just have to find someone very special to send this card to in December 🙂
