It has taken me for-EVER to decide on a birthday card design for Virginia. I have come to admire her work through the Hero Arts flickr group…she makes great cards and always has something nice to say. The picture above is of her first published card (isn't that cotton candy sweet?) I enjoy reading her blog to see her latest creations, fun photos of her family, and reading the funny comments from Dr. John. I thought it would only be appropriate to make a card that is a little over the top to celebrate this milestone birthday. So here's to you Virginia…50 and fabulous! Hope it makes you smile.
It's hard to see in the photo but the numbers are shiny. To make the numbers, I cut them out with the number die, then covered them with black soot Distress Stain and some Perfect Pearl water to give them some shine.
