neat & tangled 6th birthday blog hop (and giveaway)

So happy to be hopping along and Neat & Tangled's 6th birthday, this week! I've created a fun birthday card and gift card box for my niece who turns 12 today! I mixed gold, purple and some florals to give the card and box a fun and festive touch. To create my card, I stamped the wreath and sentiment and embossed them in gold on black card stock, adding some pops of color with Prismacolor pencils. I adhered the wreath with a fun foam backing onto a gold striped paper splattered with black paint to give it a fun and modern touch. 

To create the gift card box, I cut the box from gold card stock and added a triangle patterned paper and embossed my sentiment in gold. I also stamped and embossed the flowers and leaves in gold on black card stock and colored them in with pencils. I adhered them with foam tape to the top of the box.
