simon says stamp: it’s a dogs life

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us for the Spritz and Splatter Challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week our challenge is It’s A Dogs Life Challenge.

This week I have created a mixed media tag featuring tons of Tim Holtz Idea-ology products, the focal point being a Baseboard Doll of a boy and his dog. To create this project, I covered a Mini Etcetera Tag with Worn Wallpaper. Then I took a Vignette Panel and painted it with Antique Linen Distress Paint (I gave it about 3 coats). Once the panel was dry, I added Distress Crackle Paste around the edges of the panel and let it dry. When it was dry and had cracked, I added some Frayed Burlap Distress Crayon over the cracked paste and smoothed it in with my fingertips.

Once my Vignette Panel was dry, I added my focal elements including a: Baseboard Doll, Vintage Flair, Stencil Chip, Clippings Stickers, Junk Drawer Baseboards and Urban Layers. I added Hardware Heads to the corners of the panel.

I adhered the panel onto my Mini Etcetera tag, and then added a Quote Chip to the bottom of the piece and a Vintage Clip to the top of the tag.
