Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for last week for our Trees challenge and we hope you will join us again this week as well! This week our challenge is ATCs and if you have not created them before I sure hope you will give it a try, they are so much fun to create. This week I took a few step by step photo to show how I built up the layers on my ATCs.
See full supply list at the bottom of this post 🙂
Step 1:To begin, I added some Typeset collage paper to 4 ATCs cut from Distress Mixed Media Heavystock using DIstress Collage Medium. I added a few layers of Distress Paint in Cracked Pistachio, Weathered Wood and Frayed Burlap and dried them with a heat tool.
Step 2: I added Distress Crackle Texture Paste through a stencil and added a sprinkle of Antique Linen Distress Embossing Glaze. Once it was dry, I heated with a heat tool. Then I added a few drips of Frayed Burlap Distress Spray Stain by dipping my paintbrush in the stain and applying it to the ATCs. Don’t forget to put the cap back on! I dried again with my heat tool.
Step 3: For the next layer, I stamped images from one of my favorite stamp sets, Field Notes. I used Distress Archival Inks in Vintage Photo and Faded Jeans.
Step 4: I added some Stitched Scraps and also splattered the pieces with Black Soot Distress paint and let it dry.
Step 5: Then I created the embellishments by taking some of the Engraving Layers and embossing them with Frosted Crystal.
Step 6: Once I embossed them, I colored them in with Distress Crayons and a Detailer Water Brush. I scribbled some of the crayon onto my glass mat and picked it up with the brush and colored over top of the textured Frosted Crystal.
Step 6: I added one of the colored Engraving Layers to each of the ATCs, then finished them all with a Clippings sticker.
