simon says stamp monday challenge: fall/autumn

Hi crafty friends, it's time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in the Get Ready for Christmas Challenge and we hope you will join us this week too.

This week our challenge is Fall/Autumn and there is nothing more fall to me than pumpkin! I love everything pumpkin – pie, cake, muffins, donuts…I would eat it all. For this week's challenge I have created a Mini Etcetera Tag to celebrate the month of October, complete with pumpkins :)

Cheiron SSS october tag

To create this project, I started by covering a Mini Tim Holtz Etcetera Tag with a piece of Worn Wallpaper using Matte Collage Medium.  Then I added some texture using Ranger Texture Paste through the Stitches Layering Stencil. When the paste was dry, I went over the raised areas with a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon. I went over the color and rubbed it in with my fingers. I painted the Vignette Frame with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint and then added a bit of Rusty Hinge. I painted the Pinked Trims which would become the shelves with Antique Linen Distress Paint. When everything was dry, I added the ephemera, the frame and the shelf to the tag. I adhered hardware heads to the shelf to make it appear attached. Once all the parts were attached with Distress Collage Medium, I added the Pumpkin Pieces and the Moss to the shelf.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
