simon says stamp monday challenge: spring/easter

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Recycle challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too 🙂

This week our challenge is Spring/Easter and the design team is using products from Paper Artsy. This week I used some Paper Artsy In the Navy Infusions. Just a quick sprinkle of color and a spray of water make it easy to create a background. I stamped and embossed the Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script and embossed it in white to add another layer of texture. I added some  “spring flowers” using the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Artsy Stems. I love the look of these whimsical flowers and they are great for just about any type of project. For this one, I cut them from watercolor cardstock and added touches of metallic using Statue Foundry Wax to the tips of the flowers with a paintbrush, and also added some Foundry Wax splatter by adding a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol to the wax I had put out on my glass mat and using a Distress Splatter Brush. To finish my card, I added a Small Talk Sticker with an inspirational phrase.
