Hi there crafty friends! It’s the most wonderful time of the year…the Tim Holtz Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember®️ set is here. Tim showed this amazing set on his You Tube live today and you can go back and watch it to see all the details. So many fun elements in this set and I have created 3 cards to share with you today.
The first card is super traditional and uses the stamp set and moon mask, along with the Santa Sleigh and trees. I created this card by stamping the sleigh, masking it off and then adding the moon mask over it. I also masked off the tops of the trees before creating my inky background of Chipped Sapphire, Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Inks. I also added gold and white splatter over the entire sky area and let it dry completely before removing all the masks. Once the masks were removed I painted in my sleigh and trees. When they were dry, I stamped the sentiment and embossed it white.
For the second card, I put the moon mask onto my panel then I applied Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves, Broken China, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I removed the mask and spritzed the panel with water to let the inks blend around. I also added some white splatter to the card to mimic a galaxy background. When the background was thoroughly dry, I embossed the stars in gold, and the sentiment from the Stamptember set in black. I added some white splatter to finish it.
For my final card I just stamped the trees from the stamp set in Distress Archival Ink, and then colored the trees in a rainbow of my favorite Distress Inks…
