tim holtz christmas idea-ology: mini file folder cards

Cheiron mini folders 1_
Hi there crafty friends! I am back with my second of the Christmas Idea-ology projects. Today, I have taken some of the new Christmas Mini File Folders and turned them into cards. These cards are the perfect substrate to add some layers to and I love that the file folders have a contrasting pattern on the inside. On these cards I layered papers from the Pocket Cards, added bits of Christmas Ephemera including a mini flash card from the pack on each card, Christmas Label stickers and Christmas Quote Flair (using foam tape) to each one. For one of the cards, I used a few of the Christmas Worn Wallpaper Scraps. I distressed all the paper layers with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink before adhering them with Distress Collage Medium. For the inside of each card, I cut a piece of cardstock to write my message on and add a stamped greeting before adhering the card stock inside.

Here is a closer look at each card (full supply list at the bottom of this post):

As you can see, each card follows the same format. Add paper, layer more paper, add a flash card, a mini flair and a Christmas label. It is so easy to make a bunch of these at once with just a few supplies! I hope you enjoyed this fun use of mini file folders and will make some yourself!
