Tim Holtz Idea-ology: Santa Mica Shaker Card

Sharing a quick and simple shaker card with Tim Holtz Idea-ology today.  All of the new Christmas Idea-ology for 2024 is available NOW to purchase at Simon Says Stamp!

With just a few packs of Ephemera and some Distress Collage Medium and foam dots, it is super easy to create beautiful and unique Christmas cards. I’ll be sharing a few of these ideas here with you over the next week. Most of the time, I like to work in a batch, but today I made a special Santa shaker card with one of the elements from the Christmas Emporium Layers Pack. I loved the Santa Mica packaging layer and thought it would be fun to make a shaker card with some Distress Mica Flakes

I added a Transparency behind the window, created a shaker by using some foam tape and filling the shaker space with the Mica Flakes. I adhered the shaker to a piece of the Christmas Backdrops (love those tiny dots!).

On top of my shaker I added the Santa, Candy Cane Stick and Star from the Christmas Layers and Paper Dolls Pack and a sticker from the Christmas Sticker Book

To finish the card, I added some white spatter to look like snow and then used a palette knife to add some Snowfall Grit Paste in little areas around the card. Stay tuned this week for more cards using Tim Holtz Idea-ology including some quick and easy card sets 🙂
