Just playing along with the Championing Award Medallions Challenge over on Moxie Fab World. The challenge is to create a paper crafted project (card, gift bag, tag, layout, home decor item, mini-book cover, etc.) that incorporates a three-dimensional medallion or award medallion in an innovative way. I absolutely love the look of medallions, but don't always think to make them.
I have had this little book around for a while, just waiting to be decorated. I thought it would make a great little travel journal for a visitor.
If you look closely, you can see that the paper my medallion is made of a subway map.
Add a little $1 souvenir button, and you are all set!
Check back tomorrow, I have another festive medallion to share. You can still play along with this challenge until December 5th!

Love, love, love the map medallion! Clean, simple and fabulous!
Two of my favorite things, maps and rosettes! Great design!
I love your medallion – what a great use of the rosette die!
If I ever get to NYC to see the Thanksgiving parade in person, I am going to make one of these. Meantime, I can think of lots of other fun places that this would make a good journal decoration for!
Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Fabulous idea! I love rosettes & made from a map is really great!
