sea life card using prize ribbon distress oxide

Cheiron sealife

Hi there creative friends! Today I have a super easy card for you. When I saw the new Distress color, Prize Ribbon, I knew it would be perfect for a nautical card using one of my all time favorite Stampers Anonymous stamp sets, Sea Life.

Sealife 2

This one is SUPER easy to create, and I love it on the long slimline size. To make it, cut a panel of Distress Watercolor cardstock to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4. Then stamp all the images in the Sea Life set to make a pattern. You can use a stamp platform if you like. Just a tip: when I am creating a pattern like this, I want it to look sort of random. I started by stamping the octopus (not in the center but slightly off center and stamping the other images around it allowing them to hang off the panel. When I was done stamping, I dried the panel with my heat tool.

Sealife 3

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Simple Sayings set (the label is included) and then added two hardware heads that I inked with Mushroom Alcohol Ink with Distress Collage Medium to look like the label was screwed on to the panel. I used foam tape to mount my Sea Life panel onto an 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 card . That's it! Super simple and the Oxide stamping gives a clean crisp look.
