Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our A Bit O’Green Challenge and I hope you will play along with us this week in the Stencil Fun Challenge. This week I was inspired by Tim Holtz and the Facebook demo he did over the weekend on the new
DIstress Embossing Glazes. You can still watch it over on his Facebook page 🙂 To create this card, I used
Crackle Distress Texture Paste through the
Bubbles stencil, and sprinkled on Embossing Glazes in several colors. When the paste was dry, I heat set the piece with an Embossing Tool. Once this was done, I ink blended
Pumice Stone Distress Ink over the entire piece. I stamped images from the
Glitch 1 and
Glitch 2 sets using
DIstress Archival Inks.
I stamped and fussy cut the
The Professor 2 and colored the image in with DIstress Markers, then I adhered him to the panel. I finished the card by adding the ticket from the
Urban Layers Idea-olgy pack, attaching it with a
Tiny Clip, and then adding a piece of
Vintage Flair.
I matted the piece onto a piece of
Ranger Alcohol Ink Matte Black Cardstock, then onto a piece of
Metallic Kraft Core, then finally onto a piece of paper from the
Abandoned paper stash. I love fun crackle and color you get from mixing the paste with the Embossing Glaze.
