Having so much fun in the newest Online Card Class, RAINBOW MAKER. You know I love all things rainbow and these backgrounds from Day 1 were so much fun to make, I see a lot of them to come in my future!

These fun patterns were inspired by Julie's lesson on Day 1, I didn't have any pigment inks on hand so I decided to take out MANY paintbrushes and get to work on these backgrounds. They are so easy to make and adding a big bold die cut onto them really makes them pop. On this one I painted with Distress Paints in many colors and let the panel dry between layers. I added this brand new Hooray from Neat and Tangled which will be available in their shop on Friday.

For the second panel, I just made bigger bolder brushstrokes and cut it with the Friend Like You die from Concord & 9th (looks like this die is going away on the Concord & 9th site). Then I added some Tim Holtz gold foil paper underneath my panel and adhered it with foam tape to my card base.

Great idea to use what you have for the technique! I’ll have to try the paints since I don’t have many pigment inks, either!
