Help Support Operation Safe and Sound

Operationsafe-sound

Happy Saturday everyone. Today I am joining some of my crafty friends to help out another crafty friend in need and to send a hug. I don't know Christy personally, but when crafty girls are in need it is always nice to help.

Last week Christy's home was broken into and many things were destroyed or taken. Many of the things she lost held sentimental value and can not be replaced. I can not imagine having to go through something like this especially with children living in the house. Dealing with the police and the insurance company has been and continues to be an exhausting ordeal for Christy and her family.

I know that the items lost in this burgulary will likely never be replaced and that the family most likely does not have peace of mind right now.  I have joined together with some gals from the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog and A Blog Named Hero to make a card for Christy and also to ask for your help.

There is a paypal donate button below, (Melissa will be organizing the collection, so you will see her email address when you donate). Our goal is to raise $1000 to help cover replacing the necessities as well as the cost of food and lodging. I hope you will find it in your heart to make a small donation. Although it will not bring back any of the items lost, I am sure the gesture will mean a lot, even if it is just a dollar or two. It is so nice to see the crafting community help others in need.

I have made a donation and a card to go along with it. Here is a card I made for Christy. Just want to send some hugs her way. If you are interested in seeing all of the cards, a full list of the gals particpating in the card drive is available at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog & A Blog Named Hero!
