Dive into the wonderful world of Distress Embossing Glazes! Cheiron will teach you all about the properties of this amazing and versatile product in a day long online workshop.
Cheiron will lead you through some of her favorite techniques that can be used on card projects, art journals and beyond. This full day class will be dedicated to learning, experimenting, and creative play. We will not complete any card designs or projects in this class but will have tons of fabulous backgrounds to create cards with or use for reference for future projects. Cheiron will share lots of finished sample inspiration using the techniques you learn in class. This class is perfect for beginners or more advanced card makers- there is something for everyone!
All the class videos will be available to watch in private You Tube videos. There is no need to have Facebook to participate!
**NOTE: the LIVE portion of this class has already taken place. Class resources are available to you, including videos and class handout, immediately after purchase.
The LIVE class will take place on Sunday, February 16th , 11am – 5pm ET with an hour break. If you can’t attend the class LIVE, you will have access to it afterward to watch whenever it works in your schedule! Kits will not be shipped for this class, so there are some supplies you should have on hand. All supplies are linked below. Please DO NOT feel like you need to buy all the supplies. Use what you have and see what you like or what appeals to you during class, then you can always purchase what you are interested in.

- Distress Embossing Glazes (at least 3 colors that go together)
- Distress Oxide Inks in the same or similar colors to the glazes you will be using
- Distress Ink – Cheiron will use Antique Linen
- Distress Watercolor Cardstock
- Distress Black Heavystock
- Versamark or other embossing ink
- Distress Spray Stains (or other dye ink sprays)
- Anti-static pouch/Anti-static tool
- Distress Texture Paste OPAQUE
- Distress Texture Paste CRACKLE
- Distress Texture Paste TRANSLUCENT
- Distress Texture Paste SPARKLE
- Stencil(s) – Cheiron will use Sparkle Fade, Hearts, Deco Feather, Floral (use what you have!)
- Embossing Folders – Cheiron will use Mosaic and Swirls (use what you have!)
- Stamps – Cheiron will use Tim Holtz Brushstrokes (CMS 293), Inquisitive (CMS432) , Bold Botanicals (CMS462) (again, use what you have!)
- Embossing tool
- Die cut shapes (you could also cut out shapes with scissors) both open and closed/solid shapes think hearts, butterflies, leaves, flowers
- Heat Resistant Acetate
- Ranger Embossing Pen
- Ranger Embossing Dabber
- Ranger Heat Tool
- Ranger Foam Blending Tool/Replacement Domed Foam
- Tim Holtz Glass Mat or other surface to work on
- Flour sack towels
- Scrap paper/coffee filters to pour embossing glaze over
- Versaclair Fine Nocturne Ink
- Distress Archival Ink Black Soot
- Non-stick craft sheet
- Distress Palette Knife

I know that it was just a background class but I would like to see at least one finished card during the class that you make live. This was a really great class. I have been making cards for many years, yet learned so much from Cheiron. I had some distress glazes in my stash, but really hadn’t used them. Cheiron taught me more about how to use them and the possibilities for totally new looks on my cards.
The skills I learned were a little new to me and will require some practice, but I felt Cheiron’s instruction, with Jenn’s help, kept the tasks simple to perform and easy to follow. Because of this I believe the class is appropriate for any level of crafter. I never felt stressed or frustrated. My results weren’t perfect, but I am comfortable I will improve with practice. And I had a lot of fun working with unfamiliar products. Highly recommended.

A great online class, very informative and a detailed handout provided to print out prior to the class. It was a really nice pace and I learnt so much. I know that Tim Holtz has shown some of the techniques in lives but it wasnt until I attended Cheirons class that I actually tried them out. Having Jenn monitoring questions was also helpful as it allowed Cheiron to teach. i would definitely do another online class with Cheiron. Cheiron’s class was a standout exception to how I don’t usually like “crafting while watching” at virtual events. (If watching, my hands stop; if crafting, the demo and explanation are missed.) I enrolled because of Cheiron’s beautiful work, but had wondered how much there’d really be to learn. After all, it’s heat embossing like with regular embossing powders, right? This was such a fun class using a tool I forget that I have. Cheiron went over so many techniques in the class. She has a very soothing voice and great instruction. I made 12 cards from all the backgrounds I created in class. The best thing about online classes is you can go at your own pace. I appreciate that as it allows me to really take my time with the techniques that speak to me. And don’t worry if you don’t have all the supplies. Cheiron encourages you to use what you have and she’s right. There’s no wrong way to create.

The class is great. Unfortunately for me I could make it to the live class. I havent finished the first day of class but I love it and I enjoy it. I did all my stenciling and added the distress glaze on Saturday. I finished the heat embossing just now.and it doesn’t get old. I get amazed to see the results. The Glaze makes a huge and beautiful difference on the images. It’s great to be able to do it on my own pace. The teacher, Cheiron explains nice and clearly and with a nice soft voice. She gives us time to catch up with her. I really recommend to take her classes.
