simon says stamp monday challenge: dry embossing

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's Add A Photo Challenge. This week we have a brand new challenge and our theme is Dry Embossing and we'd love to have you play along. 

This week, I used one of the Brand New Tim Holtz/Sizzix Engraved 3D Embossing Folders. To create the background, I took a panel of DIstress Watercolor Cardstock and misted it with water. Then I ran it through my Vagabond back and forth 3 times…this seems to give the best impression! Then I spritzed it with water again and a combination of Evergreen Bough and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Spray Stains. I dried the panel with a Ranger heat tool and sprayed over the entire thing with Distress Mica Spray in Brushed Pewter. 

Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to the card using foam tape. I added the Stunning Snowflake as the main focal piece by cutting it from glitter paper, Metallic Kraft Stock and Vellum and layered it together. I added a clear drop to the center. For the sentiment, I used a partial part of a sentiment from the Stampers Anonymous Scenic Holiday set. I hope you enjoyed this card full of sparkly goodness!
