simon says stamp monday challenge: happy birthday
Hi crafty friends, it's time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in last week's Anything But A Card Challenge and we hope you join us this week too for our Happy Birthday Challenge, this week the design team is using Simon Says Stamp exclusives and we hope you will challenge yourself to use some too if you have them!
To create my card this week, I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves background, I love it so much for waves and anything else that calls for something festive. I embossed in in white with Hero Arts White Detail embossing powder and colored it in using Distress Oxides in Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry using a water brush.
When it was dry, I gave a bit of splatter using Black Soot then Picket Fence Distress Paints that were watered down a bit. I colored the Party sentiment from the CZ Design Birthday Palooza set using Distress Markers in the same colors that I used for the Distress Oxides. I also used the markers to lightly tint the Paper Doll.
I added the Paper Doll to the card, layered on the word party and adhered a Snarky Small Talk sticker and a few Pretty Pink Posh droplets to make it even more festive!
