simon says stamp monday challenge: make your own background
Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week’s Circles Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week for the Make Your Own background Challenge.
This week, I wanted to spend some time creating with my Speckled Egg Distress Oxide. I inked up a DIstress Mixed Media Heavystock tag with Speckled Egg DIstress Oxide, then I blended Crushed Olive DIstress Oxide through the Digits stencil and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide through the Stitches stencil. I stamped some text using the Ledger Script stamps and Vintage Photo Archival Ink.
Once my background was completed, I built up the layers on my tag. I added some Field Notes Ephemera, a Milk Cap, a butterfly from the Field Notes Snippets that had been inked with Walnut Stain DIstress Ink using DIstress Collage Medium. I cut a Wildflower 2 stem out of DIstress Mixed Media Heavystock, then I sprayed it with Chipped Sapphire Distress Spray Stain, once that was dry, I added some texture with Distress Resist Spray. I added the Photobooth photo, and adhered a Tiny Clip to it.
To finish off the tag, I added Clippings stickers, and then added a tiny heart from the Treasures Adornments that had been colored with Alcohol Ink.
