Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Make Your Own Background

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too 🙂

Our challenge this week is Make Your Own Background. I always love to create backgrounds and I have created a fun one to go with the Travel Blueprint focal image on my card this week. I colored in the main image with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

To create this background on a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock:
– I added Distress Opaque Texture Paste through the Arrows Layering stencil
– Added DIstress Embossing Glaze in Salvaged Patina and let it dry
– Heat it with an Embossing Tool
– Sprayed the entire panel with Frayed Burlap Distress Spray Stain
– Dried with a Ranger heat tool
– Added Filmstrip Ribbon and some messy stitching
