simon says stamp monday challenge: not a card

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week’s Spooky challenge. This week we have a brand new challenge and our theme is Not A Card and we’d love to have you play along. This week, I took one of the newer Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps sets – Specimen, that I have only stamped a few times and used it to create a mixed media tag. 

 

For this tag, I used the large moth image from the Specimen set as my focal point. I created a tag using DIstress Paint in Antique Linen and Weathered Wood. Once the paint was dry I added Distress Crackle Texture Paste through the Dotted stencil and sprinkled it with Antique Linen and Weathered Wood Distress Embossing Glazes. I added bits of Typeset Collage Paper, and stamped some imagery from the Faded Type and Stitches stamps. Once everything was dry, I added the stamped the sentiment to the tag with the Tiny Attacher and added the moth image with foam tape. To complete the tag, I splattered the entire tag with Dina Wakley Media Gloss Spray in Gilt, Sand, White and Night over the entire tag.
