simon says stamp monday challenge: tag it

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our Inspired by Music Challenge and I hope you will play along with us this week in our Tag It Challenge this week, and this week the design team is featuring projects from TIm Holtz. For my project this week, I created a Mini Etcetera Tag with an inky background made with DIstress Spray Stain, Distress Oxide Spray and some stamping and embossing with the new Distress Embossing Glazes…you are going to love them! 

To begin, I created my Distress Watercolor Cardstock background using Distress Sprays in Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Walnut Stain and Distress Oxide Spray in Shaded Lilac. Once it was dry, I stamped images from the Stampers Anonymous Grunged set and embossed them with Distress Embossing Glaze in Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose and Weathered Wood. I sprayed some water on the tag and embossed those spots with Fossilzed Amber. 

I added a Found Relative under a Baseboard Frame and added a bit of Opaque Grit Paste and let it dry. When it was dry, I added some Walnut Stain Distress Crayon over it and dabbed it a bit with a baby wipe. 

I added a Ruler Piece and a piece of Metallic Kraft stock cut with the Sizzix 3D Star Trim Impresslits. Can you see the amazing texture you get from Metallic Kraft stock? It’s really beautiful! 

The Embossing Glaze adds so much texture to the piece. To finish off the project, I added a piece of Foundry Idea-ology and ‘secured’ it with a Hardware Head.
