Hello crafty friends and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thanks to all who played along with us last time and we hope you will join us this week too. This week our challenge theme is Trees. For my card this week, I used the Tim Holtz Bottle Brush Trees along with the coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.

See full shoppable supply list at the bottom of this post

To create my cards I put my paper into the misti then inked up the brush part of the trees with Distress Oxide Minis being careful to avoid the stem/stand parts. I took the paper out, embossed it with the same color of Distress Embossing Glaze, then put the paper back in and inked up the stand for the tree in a shade of brown.

I used these color combos:
Aged Mahogany/Brushed Corduroy
Saltwater Taffy/Frayed Burlap
Fossilized Amber/Vintage Photo

To finish my card, I cut a panel to 4 x 5 1/4 and placed it on my card with foam tape. Then I added the trees using foam tape, and finally I finished the card with a CZ Design Very Merry XL EZ Strip that I cut with the EZ Strips Banner Wafer dies.

I like it a lot. I would tend toward either traditional or pastel colors, but it’s still very eye-catching and a good layout!
