simon says stamp monday challenge: we’re going around in circles

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's All A Buzz challenge and we hope you will join us in this week's challenge We're Going Around in Circles. I've used lots of circles on my card this week including images cut from the Sizzix Stacked Circles die. 

 

To make my card this week, I started by stamping the gears from the Stampers Anonymous Inventor 7 stamp set onto Distress Watercolor cardstock and then inking up the panel with DIstress Spray Stain in Pumice Stone and Speckled Egg. I gave the paper a mist of Distress Mica Spray in Brushed Pewter (be careful not to overdo this step-a fine mist will give you just enough shine). Once the panel was dry, I inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. 

To create the colored circles, I used Distress Oxide sprays directly on the craft mat area of my Glass Media Mat and used the Inventor 7 stamp to stamp the multicolored image onto a piece of black watercolor cardstock. Once that was dry, I arranged the Stacked Circles dies onto the black piece and ran them through my die cutting machine. Now onto the fun part, putting it all together. I glued my panel onto a piece of colored Kraft Stock, then onto a piece of Blackout cardstock. Then I adhered the colored circles to the black and white image using foam tape. 

Once the colored circles were adhered, I added a Baseboard Doll, a Quote Chip and some Hardware Heads to complete the card.
