simon says stamp monday challenge: “s” is for

Hi crafty friends, it’s time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us last week in the ATC Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too. This week’s challenge is super easy….”S” is for is the theme and I’ve colored up some “shrooms” (aka Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Tiny Toadstools) for you in all colors of the rainbow!

To create this card, I stamped the image onto a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock that had been inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Once that was dry, I stamped the toadstools onto the panel and colored them in with lots of vibrant colors of Distress Oxide. Once the panel was colored, I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and added some stitching around the entire panel.

To give them a magical quality, I added them to a mat of metallic paper and drew in some highlights on the toadstools with a Nuvo Midas Touch Gold Aqua Shimmer pen to really make them sparkle! I absolutely love this pen to add tons of shine to any project!
