This week I created a patriotic card using the Tim Holtz Sizzix United States Thinlit die cut from all different patterns of Stars and Stripes from the Correspondence Paper Stash. To make the background for my map, I cut a piece of Mixed Media Heavystock and inked it by putting Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink onto my craft sheet and spritzing it with water. Then built up layers and dried it with a heat tool. When it was dry, I added some stars with the Layering Stars shifter stencil with some gold ink and gave the panel some stitching around the outside.

What a great idea to use the US thinlit – I love how you’ve made all the states! Reminds me of a well-loved quilt. Your background ink layers add so much as well – love the little stars! Have a great week – xx Lynn
