simon says stamp monday challenge: transport
Hi crafty friends, it's time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in last week's Vacation and I hope you will join us again this week too! This week our challenge is Transport It. I'm really stretching it with the theme this week, but I am using this fan to transport me to a much cooler place than the summer heat. If you know me, I like to keep the temperature in my house on freezing 🙂
I really wanted to use this RUSTY CRUSTY background panel I made with Distress Oxide Sprays along with a vintage blue fan…
To create my card, I created a "RUSTY CRUSTY" background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays (you can see how to make this background and a few other awesome combos on Tim's post here). Then I stamped the fan from the Inventor 8 set 3 times onto Mixed Media Heavystock using Jet Black Archival Ink. I cut it out once and watercolored it and then cut the fan out of the second fan and layered them all together.
For the center of the fan, I added an Idea-ology Hardware Head on top of a Long Fastener so it would really spin!
